Under the leadership of the fearless Senator Tom Cotton, the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) is taking action. They accused the Commerce Department of overbroad tariff exclusion rules. This, my friends, is like comparing apples and oranges!
This is where the struggle intensifies. U.S. aluminum extruders face an uphill battle in overturning these exclusions. It’s like trying to climb Mount Everest with one hand tied behind your back. The General Approval Exclusion (GAE) process was employed due to the difficulty of meeting the Commerce Department’s exclusionary objection criteria.
